Research Performed

Research is performed (1) by the natural rubber producers (the raison d'etre for the IRRDB); (2) the synthetic rubber producers; (3) manufacturers of rubber chemicals (compounding ingredients); (4) rubber consumers (especially the tyre industry and other major consumers of rubber and latex); (5) universities (notably the University of Akron in the USA); and (6) independent research centres. These groups are likely to come together at the annual International Rubber Conference, or the twice yearly meetings of the American Chemical Society's Rubber Division.
